Echenor Malbec 2016

On the eye this Argentinian red wine is a classic deep red in colour. It has delicious notes of spices and cooked fruits reminiscent of the festive season. The blackberry and forest fruit flavours lead into a reveal of smooth and soft tannins and a pleasant concentration of aromas. There is a balanced acidity in the flavour and a touch of sweetness with a medium dry finish. Overall this wine is very nice served lightly chilled with peppery meat dishes and is entirely drinkable.

This wine would make a perfect companion for evening drinking on it's own or over dinner, particularly during the colder season. The spices and rich fruit flavour create a warming feel, invoking images of a glass of wine by the fire once darkness has fallen. We'd recommend giving this one a try.
