Hugonell Reserva 2020

Hugonell Reserva is a classically made Rioja, which shows wonderful aromatic complexity of red berries, liquorice and hints of smokiness, cedar and spice oak flavours. A warm and heady palate leads to a mature and rich finish.

The fruit for Hugonell Rioja Reserva comes from vineyards in Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Alta. The average age of the vines is approximately 25 years and the soil patterns in the vineyards are a combination of the well-known limestone/clay/alluvial mixture, which is found in most of Central Rioja. The grapes used for the wine are Tempranillo 90%, Garnacha 5%, and Mazuelo 5%.
