Raimat El Niu de la Cigonya

The Niu de la Cigonya, a young white wine, a combination of Xarello, Chardonnay and Albariño from Costers del Segre. Raimat's new commitment to sustainable viticulture.

The grapes come from three different vineyards: the Chardonnay from a parcel that is located in one of Raimat's "turons" (slightly elevated landforms). It is characterised by its Tertiary-era soils, which are very ancient (35 million years), chalky, gravelly, loose, well-drained soils. The vines are short pruned and undergo light shoot thinning to seek the best balance. All the tasks are carried out organically, allowing the grapes to express their full potential in a natural way. This all contributes to obtaining Chardonnay grapes with a tropical profile and very high intensity.
